A large concrete bridge girder fell from a truck Monday, blocking a road in Sarpy County.
As a result, access in and out of several businesses was cut off throughout the day.
The large concrete bar blocked Allied Road near Highway 75, just north of the Platte River.
The 130-foot-long concrete girder was on its way to the I-29 overpass from Core Slab Structures in Sarpy County, but an equipment malfunction sent the 57-ton concrete slab off the road.
Todd Braymann was supposed to be making a quick delivery, but ended up stuck.
"Pulled into Core Slab to make a delivery and by the time I come back out, the trailer had already left the road so I'm struck down a while," Braymann said.
A back road was able to be opened up, giving the struck trucks a way out.
