The first vertical wall sections and concrete columns have been installed in the west stand at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Significant progress has been made on the stand closest to the River Mersey, since the first concrete foundations emerged in the past few weeks.

The framework of the stand, predominantly built using precast concrete panels, is developing quickly between the two corner cores, with wall sections slotted into place at the southern end and foundations now extending the length of the stand.

Meanwhile, a new latticework of steelwork in the north stand sees the two sections edge ever closer to connecting.

And in the south, the central section continues to lengthen, with the south west corner now two tiers high and raking beams installed. 

The south east corner will follow in the coming weeks, as the first anniversary of the build draws closer.
