Rafael explains why the collaboration is important to the local real estate market: “For The Villages at Lipa, SMCC will produce the precast panel and structural shells in the housing projects.”

Precast concrete technology was previously used mainly in civil and industrial applications but is now being utilized by the residential development industry around the world to add high-quality value to developments, and minimize labor shortages and construction delays.
Since several components are being produced in a movable precast plant away from the construction site, one of the outcomes is greener construction as it reduces construction noise and pollution in highly urbanized areas. Another result is improved construction quality, owing to the regulated plant setting.
As Japan is prone to temblors, the cutting-edge innovation of SMCC ensures that its construction products are also earthquake-resistant structures, in addition to being fire- and deterioration-resistant.
